Ownership of proceeds of corruption in international law

This book argues for empowering citizens of victim-states to pursue corruption recovery actions, linking the right to wealth and resources to the proceeds of corruption.

This book, by a Nigerian scholar and member of Amnesty International’s International Secretariat, brings together the areas of anti-corruption, asset recovery, and human rights. The author argues for people’s ownership rights of the proceeds of corruption, based on people’s ownership of their resources and the right to remedy, among other sources.
